Ms. Janice Gantt has retired at the age of 62. She told me she had been married 6 times. She would tell each husband like the preacher would tell the congregation... I won't keep you long!
70 Good Years
Mrs. Essie M. O'Neal was married for 70 years. She married when she was only 13 and her husband was 20. Her husband died at the age of 90. Mrs. O'Neal lived in Barnesville, Georgia until she retired from Carter Mills and moved to the Atlanta area.
Keep Living
I met Mr. Norris Callier, a native Atlantan who was born and raised in the Old Fourth Ward. He retired from Southern Railway after 15 years of service and retired from the State of Georgia after 30 years of service. I asked him what does he suggest I do to live to be his age, 103. 'Keep Living and Die When You Can't Help It'
